Berks Tea Party

 Dear Fellow American:

If you are as concerned as we are about the direction that our government is taking this country, then please read on. Many voted for this administration, many did not. It doesn’t matter: what most people wanted was some sort of change. What they didn’t want was a complete socialist/progressive takeover of our government and our liberties. The list is long. The onslaught is daily and the ability of those who oppose Obama and his minions to fight effectively is daily diminished by the sheer enormity of this juggernaut. Each day, a new and dangerous idea surfaces. Each day, a new dimension of potential (if not actual) evil raises its ugly head.

Here is a short list:

1        Bailouts, Bailouts and Bailouts using YOUR money! All political parties, Republican and Democrat,  have been wrong here.

2        President Barack Obama calls his stimulus bill and proposed budget an “investment” plan. But this plan is based on the faulty assumption that only government is able and responsible enough to invest at this time.

3        Obama has instituted an illegal and unconstitutional government takeover of General Motors, Chrysler, banks, and other financial institutions.

4        The current Administration is abusing bankruptcy law to benefit a favored constituency, the United Auto Workers union. This threatens all of us with very serious consequences.

5        We all know that the Waxman-Markey cap and trade proposal will be very expensive and amounts to nothing more than a massive energy tax. (Did you know that there will be a tax on cows and pigs also, as part of this?)

6        We are putting our grandchildren in serious financial jeopardy.

7        Shortly, if the current health care scheme is adopted, the whole of the health insurance industry, the medical providers and more could be overtaken by the government if not eliminated.

8        Free speech rights are under threat:

o The liberals are attempting to institute a gag on issue-oriented radio that would effectively eliminate conservative voice.

o So-called hate crimes would include a restriction on legitimate protests. Plus there are laws in force now to protect every citizen not special laws for a certain few.

o People who have spoken out against these policies are on “Home Land Security” lists.

o Obama has SUCCESSFULLY frightened people into not pursuing their rights of free speech and law. (witness the bond holders of Chrysler and General Motors).

9        On welfare, Obama reversed the long-fought-for welfare reform that was instituted by the 1992 Contract with America.

10    On foreign policy, we are less secure than we were just 6 months ago.

11    Illegal Immigration is Illegal

 If you find this exasperating, troubling and dangerous, then it is your responsibility to act. “The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.” While we need money, we need your presence more. We need the support of thousands of like-minded patriots like you. We will attempt to provide you with that opportunity.

We would like you to attend our “tea parties” . You may have heard of them. We are not just a bunch of nuts; we are a legitimate movement.  We are just ordinary citizens just like you. We’re old and young and poor and rich and Republican, Democrat, Libertarian or nothing. We think it’s time we took back America and restored it to the dignified place our fore fathers designed it to be. IF YOU AGREE, THEN COME TO OUR EVENTS.

 All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men(and women) to do nothing.
